On 28–29 May 2026, the Jesuit Centre for Ecology and Development (JCED) successfully concluded a two-day training on eco-briquette production and distributed 40 solar-powered micro-gasifier stoves to women under the Tasintha Mlimi Project Kasungu. This initiative directly addresses severe local deforestation by providing sustainable alternatives to traditional firewood and charcoal.
